Senator Akpabio has spoken his mind regarding recruitment into Niger Delta development commission (NDDC).
Anietie Ekong who’s is Akpabio’s chief press secretary made this new development known to news men in Uyo state on Saturday.
According to Ekong, he started that his boss has directed that all employment into NDDC be stopped with immediate effect.
He went further to disclose that Akpabio has also ordered the cancellation of any ongoing appointment in NDDC.
Senator Akpabio who is the current NDDC chairman is currently on the move to clean up all the wrongs that’s affecting the commission first.
The minister wants to diligently look into top issues that the commission is facing, to enable him know to manage it best, before nddc recruitment will take place.
According findings, the minister has already issued a letter to Mr. Akwagaga who Is the current managing director of the commission.
The statement reads in parts, “Based on the Ministerial directive, the Commission’s pay roll should not accommodate new employees and should revert to the status quo as at August 31, 2019.
Anietie Ekong also made it known that the minister is expecting a feed back in a couple of days from the commission. The feed should contain information about any ongoing recruitment, promotions or appointment by nddc.
